About the club

Coal Coast Bodyboard Club is a grassroots bodyboarding club on the Illawarra coast. It brings riders, families and groms together on the sand, from first waves to finals.

What the club does

The club runs a season of competition rounds, with divisions from Mico Groms through to AAA Advanced, drop knee and women. Rounds, results and rankings are published on Liveheats.

Each round finishes with a presentation, and the club BBQ keeps competitors and families fed from setup to pack-up.

The club is also where School of Boog was shaped: a five-module coaching pathway, developed with the team at Coal Coast Bodyboard Club since 2023.
