How a round runs

New to club comps? This is the shape of the day, from the location call to the presentation.

  1. Location call

    The committee checks the banks, swell direction, wind and tides, then announces the beach the day before on the club Instagram.

  2. Check in

    Check in at the marshal and judging tent 20 minutes before your heat to collect your coloured rashie.

  3. Live scores

    Heats update throughout the day on Liveheats, so you can follow wave scores on your phone. Division final scores are held back until the presentation.

  4. BBQ and presentation

    The club BBQ runs from setup to pack-up. The day finishes with the presentation, where division winners are announced.

Divisions

The divisions run at 2026 rounds, named exactly as they appear on Liveheats. You choose your division when you enter a round.
